PIMA starts construction on eye hospital in Peshawar

The Pakistan Islamic Medical Association(PIMA) has started construction work on an eye hospital in Peshawar. Once built, the hospital would have modern facilities for eye care and surgeries, an official of the PIMA told the media on Tuesday.  He said that PIMA President Abdul Malik had inaugurated the project on Nasir Road and is expected to completed in collaboration with the Al-Khidmat Foundation, he added.  Prevention of Blindness (PoB) Trust is a PIMA project, working with the sole mission of preventing blindness and preserving sight since 2007. The prime objective of PoB Trust was to promote and sustain a global campaign against all forms of avoidable blindness with an emphasis on deprived communities.
