NAB working on proactive anti-corruption strategy
NAB chairman said corruption is the root of all evils
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said that corruption is the root of all evils and that his organisation is dealing with the problem with iron hands.
He said this while chairing a fortnightly meeting of all wings of the anti-corruption watchdog at NAB Headquarters, read a statement issued by the bureau on Saturday.
Proactive national strategy required: Chairman NAB
The NAB chief pointed out that after assuming office, he had devised a proactive anti-corruption strategy and operational methodology by setting three stages for the proceeding of cases including complaint verification, inquiry and investigation.
While reviewing the performance, the said that comparative figures for the last three years reflected the hard work and dedication of NAB staff.
