Protest: Journalists’ hunger strike continues
Journalists protest against fake cases registered against them by Excise and Taxation Department.
CHAKWAL:
The hunger strike of members of District Press Club Chakwal entered its eighth day on Saturday. ‘Fake’ cases registered against the journalists by Excise and Taxation Department led to the the journalist community’s protest against the department. A meeting of the members of press club would be held an April 3 to discuss the future strategy, said the president of the press club. The journalist community also expressed their sympathies with the ‘victimised’ journalists.
