Capital Punishment: Two sentenced to death for murder

The court also imposed a Rs100,000 fine on convicts for murdering two people two years ago.

KASUR:
Additional District and Session Judge Chunian Safdar Saleem Shahid sentenced two accused charged in a double murder case with the death penalty in Fateh Muhammad Kalan on Friday.

The court also imposed a Rs100,000 fine on convicts Meraj Din alias ‘totia’ and M Akram alias ‘manmotia’ for murdering Muhammad Haroon and Muhammad Hanif two years ago. The court released three other accused Sabir Ali, Ahmed Din and Abdul Sattar on benefit of doubt.


Police are searching for the third accused in the case, Ghulam Qadir, who has been declared to be extremely dangerous.
