Pak-US partnership to go beyond war on terror: Gilani

MULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said United States stands united with Pakistan in war against terrorism and it is impossible to achieve success in this war without Pakistan’s cooperation. He added Pak-US partnership will go beyond war on terror.

He said this while speaking to journalists after meeting the US Consul General Yuriy Fedkiw on Wednesday.



To a question, Gilani said, “Presence of US consul in the country means US thought that the war on terror is impossible without Pakistan’s help.” The former prime minister maintained Pakistan Peoples Party wanted USA to enhance its partnership with Pakistan to fight the war on terrorism for achieving more successes. He said better ties with US would benefit Pakistan.
