Pakistan Army on Tuesday rubbished Indian claims of destroying a Pakistani post along the Line of Control (LoC).

"Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LoC in Naushera Sec and firing by Pakistan Army on civilians across LoC are false," said DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor on Twitter.

According to Indian media reports, the Indian army on Tuesday launched massive fire assaults and destroyed several Pakistani posts across the LoC that were aiding in infiltration.

"As part of our counter terrorism strategy and to ensure that infiltration is curbed and initiative remains with us, the Indian Army proactively dominates the LoC," The Hindu quoted India's Major General A K Narula, Additional Director General, Public Information as saying.

On the contrary, the military’s media wing added, Indian army had resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on May 13, which resulted in civilian casualties and damages to civil infrastructure.

“A befitting and stern response was mounted on Indian posts causing substantial losses to military men and material,” it said.
