Army official says two soldiers of Gorkha Regiment were killed in an exchange of fire
ISLAMABAD:
Two Indian soldiers were killed and as many Kashmiri youth were martyred in an ongoing military operation by Indian army in Kupwara district of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
According to KMS, a senior army official told the media that two soldiers of 4/1 Gorkha Regiment (GR) were killed in an exchange of fire at Karan in Nowgam area of the district. “The operation is going on,” he said.

Meanwhile, a police constable decamped with four rifles from guard duty room of the Food Corporation of India in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) said, “The constable Naveed Mushtaq of Shopian decamped with four SLR rifles from the guard duty room this evening. This is not a snatching incident. He ran away with the rifles.”
The IGP said that manhunt had been launched to trace him.
