10-bed ICU planned for DHQ Faisalabad
ICU will be equipped with latest machines and other medical facilities
FAISALABAD:
A state-of-the-art 10-bed Intensive Care Unit [ICU] is being established at DHQ Hospital with a cost of Rs50 million.
According to details, Rs10 million have been donated by a local philanthropist for the construction of the ICU while Rs40 million have been arranged by the hospital management from its own resources for the purchase of medical machinery and equipment.

Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani laid the foundation stone of the construction of the ICU building on Saturday, while Medical Superintendent Dr Abdul Rauf, XEN Building Tahir Anjum, Assistant Engineer Muhammad Faisal, philanthropist Haji Faqir Muhammad and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Salman said the government was spending huge funds on provision of medical facilities and cooperation of philanthropists was very much appreciable for the service of ailing humanity.

He directed the hospital management for the timely completion of the ICU building. He also directed the authorities to start departmental process immediately for the purchase of equipment and machinery for the ICU so that it could be made functional without any delay. Speaking on the occasion, MS Dr Abdul Rauf said the building of ICU would be completed within four months.
