KARACHI:
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement [MQM] - Pakistan has not lost an inch of its mandate and this will be proven in the upcoming general elections, said party convener Dr Farooq Sattar.

The MQM leader said this while addressing a press conference on Saturday at the party's makeshift office in Bahadurabad, along with other leaders Rauf Siddiqui and Barrister Farogh Nasim.

Dr Sattar said claims of election rigging are baseless propaganda against the MQM, as all such cases have been proven false in the court of law. He added that similar accusations were made during the last general elections in 2013 but all these claims were proven to be false. He said that the MQM and Urdu-speaking community cannot be separated, adding that the party's vote bank in the community will remain intact.

Dr Sattar referred to the Supreme Court's verdict on PS-114 constituency in favour of Siddiqui, terming it further proof that the MQM has never engaged in any sort of rigging. He claimed Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader Irfanullah Marwat was the one who was actually involved in the rigging.

Speaking about orders for his arrest, the MQM-Pakistan convener said we raised the slogan of Pakistan Zindabad but even then the MQM has been dragged into politically motivated cases. He said that the party was consulting with its lawyer about the arrest.

Talking about his rally in Hyderabad on Sunday, Dr Sattar urged the people of Hyderabad to make it a successful rally and prove that people are still with the MQM.
