ISLAMABAD:
In order to eliminate delays in completion of inquiry process and the frequent extensions due to non-observance of specified timelines, the board of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday amended the authority’s Employees (Service) Regulation 1992 rules.

During its sixth meeting of the year at CDA Headquarters with Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz in the chair, the CDA Board decided that an inquiry officer who delays completing inquiries and seeks frequent extensions due to non-observance of specified timelines would be subjected to E&D proceedings.

The Board approved the amendments which extend the scope of regulation 8.03 which encompass grading instances of acts or omissions, whether by inefficiency, default or design proposed to be added as additional grounds for improving the quality of the inquiry proceedings via disciplinary proceedings.

The Board also approved a draft incorporating the proposed amendments in the CDA Employees Service regulations 1992 as well.
