Authenticity : ICAP acts against fake accountants
ICAP says it came to its notice that some people are impersonating as chartered accountants.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has sought cooperation from the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) in its search to discover fake chartered accountants. In a communique to KSE, ICAP said it has come to its notice that some persons have been impersonating as chartered accountants and practising chartered accountancy. ICAP has advised KSE to ask its members to verify the authenticity of chartered accountant firms and practising members of the institute through its website, which contains the names and particulars of the firms. ICAP further said that it is considering taking strict action against such fake chartered accountants.
