Varsity Sports: Inter collegiate tournament held at FCW
Students learn leadership through sports, says vice chancellor.

The second Inter-College Sports Tournament was held at Frontier College for Women on Thursday.
Students from 11 colleges in the province attended the event. Speaking on the occasion, Frontier Women University (FWU)Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Syeda Jehangir said that students learn leadership through sports and develops healthy minds and bodies. “Sports teach us spirit,” she said.
Sports not only help in physical and mental development but also teaches lessons of tolerance, students said.
They added that such activities not only entertain students in the militancy-stricken province but also help reduce their stress levels.
Frontier College for Women got first positions in table tennis, badminton, cricket, hockey, and the 100, 200, and 400 metre races while FWU grabbed first positions in basketball and football. Similarly, FEF Tangi secured first position in volleyball.
