A division bench of the LHC, headed by Justice Sadaqat Ali, granted protective bail to Arshad Gondal and other local bodies representatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for three days to approach the trial court – Anti Terrorism Court Gujranwala – for further relief.
Judicious advice: Give decisions without any fear or favour
Counsel of Gondal and others told the court that on political differences, chairman of Mandi Bahaudin District Council lodged a case against them under terrorism charges.
He said they wanted to appear before the trial court, but they feared police would arrest them. Therefore, they requested the court to grant them protective bails.
