ISLAMABAD:
Veteran journalist and media workers’ rights activist, Mumtaz Shamim Chaudhry died on Sunday due to cardiac arrest. He was 57 years old and he left behind two daughters and a son. His funeral prayer was offered in the vicinity of Rawalpindi Press Club which was participated by dozens of media persons, journalists’ representatives, politicians of AJK. Chaudhry’s body was taken to his hometown Kotli Nikiyal for burial.
