Contempt of court: SC adjourns hearing for PPP leaders
Taj Haider and Sharjeel Memon were issued contempt notices for protesting against NAB chief's appointment verdict.

The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday adjourned the hearing of the Contempt of Court case against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders Sharjeel Memon and Taj Haider till April 25, 2011.
The two party members were issued contempt notices for protesting against the apex court's verdict on the appointment of former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Deedar Hussain Shah.
More than 60 members of the Sindh Assembly also appeared in the court in support of the PPP leaders.
Speaking to the media, Memon said the PPP had played a key role in the reinstatement of the independent judiciary, and that it could not violate its verdicts.
Haider said the contempt notices had been issued due to misunderstandings created between the judiciary and the executive by certain elements.
