Smartphone giant, Samsung, will release the W2017 premium flip phone in its home country of South Korea.
Reported by ET News, the high-end smartphone which was only available in China so far and will now be introduced to another market. “I cannot confirm the launch date but the new phone will be launched soon in Korea,” said an official of a local telecom carrier on condition of anonymity.
The W2017 phone unveiled last year, features a nearly extinct clamshell design with two 4.2-inch OLED displays and is powered by a mid-ranged Snapdragon 430 processor. The phone also packs some top-end features that include a fingerprint scanner, wireless charging and Samsung Pay.
Samsung’s latest flip-phone doesn’t come cheap though, and is estimated to cost a staggering $3000. It is, however, still unknown if the South Korean manufacturer is planning release the W2017 in other markets.
