Apple released a bunch of videos giving tips to its iPhone users on how to make the best out of the phone camera. Rather than advertising the camera’s capabilities, Apple walked us briefly through on how to use the camera in a series of YouTube tutorials.

Lasting about 40 seconds, the videos focus on the very basics of iPhone photography. For example, the videos focus on particular genres such as the portrait mode or shooting panoramas along with some general photography tips such as shooting in low light. Some people are probably aware of these basic photography techniques but there are many who aren’t quite well versed.

Here's when iPhone 8 is expected to be released

The interesting thing about the tutorials is the way have been set up style wise. All have been shot vertical, so they’re meant to be seen on a phone with some electronic beats and basic text and graphics - a technique Apple hasn’t really tried before.

Apple's camera advantage has vanished

For years, Apple had focused on playing up the iPhone’s camera through ads. But oddly enough, Apple has arguably lost its camera edge when compared to that of Samsung’s S8 or Google’s Pixel. It will have to do a lot more than giving basic photography tips to gain back the advantage it once used to have.

WhatsApp just added cool features for iPhone users

This, however, is a step towards accepting their current camera predicament.
