Terrorist activity: Man gets 65 years for possessing explosives

In addition, the court also ordered to confiscate his property

An anti-terrorist court awarded 65 years imprisonment to an accused who was involved in terrorist activities in Sargodha on Thursday.

The prosecution told the court that counter terrorism department officials arrested accused Muhammad Sohail from Chak-87 Sargodha on April, 29, 2016 and seized explosives and weapons from his possession.

Sohail was also wanted by the police in a number of terrorist activities in the district. The police registered a case against the accused under terrorist act and produced him before the court.

The ATC judge handed down 65 years jail term to the accused. In addition, the court also ordered to confiscate his property. Earlier, an ATC awarded 35 years imprisonment to an accused in terrorist activities in Sargodha.
