Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

A necklace that says my baby’s name on it so I can wear it all the time

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

The amazing bonding time I spent with my mother prior to delivering, would love to have these kinds of moments with my baby too.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

The importance of grandparents, but it’s not really a secret, it’s something to learn over time and cherish. I’m very close to my grandmother so the important life lessons you can learn from them are the most precious things in life.

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

A letter written to me by my daughter and some handpicked flowers that she picks out for me while she is in the garden. But since she is only one and a half years old, the letter has a few more years to go, however, calling me mama early morning on Mother’s Day backed by the warmest hug would just instantly make my day.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

I had a complicated pregnancy and I still remember that it was my 11th week and I was terrified. My husband was with me and I kept looking at him scared to the core and when the doctor said she is now going to listen to the heartbeat my heart stopped. The moment I heard her heartbeat I had tears streaming down my face, it was like I was alive again, and her heartbeat was music to my ears. She was, is, and always will be my miracle.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

That she has my unconditional support no matter what and sometimes parents forget to mention that in their daily routines when they’re chastising their kid and trying to set rules and boundaries for them. I want her to know all of this and not let it be an unspoken assumption. I want her to know I’m her number one fan and the world is her oyster. It’s not a secret but definitely something she needs to know every Mother’s Day, after all I wouldn’t be a mother if she wasn’t there.

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

My first Mother’s Day will be next year. I’d like my husband to be creative and make a cute card or wall hanging for me with my baby. Maybe with the baby’s hand print or foot print. Something I can cherish and keep forever.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

My husband made Valentine’s Day extra special for me. At midnight he got me a tray with a box of chocolates and a baby’s shirt that said “I love Mommy to the moon and back”. I was so touched by it. Usually Valentine’s Day is so cliché with roses and hearts, but this is something I’d never thought my husband would do.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

I don’t keep secrets so I don’t think I’d have anything to share. I’m an open book so I think my child would know everything about me.

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

Nothing yet because everything my almost two-year-old toddler does every single moment of the day is a gift to me. Every day she surprises me with a new word or a new expression. I just want more and more hugs from her every day.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

The first time she kicked and I made all my family gather around and feel her tiny kick.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

I act angry when you have chocolate all over your face but in reality I am just trying to control my laughter and resist kissing you all over your chocolaty face.

Romisa Rafay — Housewife

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

That would indirectly be from the father so definitely a piece of jewellery that I can treasure forever.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

Baby shopping for the new baby with my 3-year-old son. Wasn’t expecting it but he was thrilled and it was adorable watching him pick things for the baby.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

It’s not exactly a secret but I would tell my son/daughter that there is not a thing in the world that they can’t tell me and that I will always have their back and be their support system in any way that they need me to be. Also that my love for them is unconditional!

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

A photo shoot with my little man.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

Once my husband and I went shopping for him and when we came home and browsed through the things we had bought, my husband kept his batman romper on his chest for hours pretending he was hugging him.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

I don’t think I’ll ever share my secrets with my kids..hahah!

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

Flowers on Mother’s Day or any day make me happy.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

The cutest memory I’d share is when my midwife told me that the right side of my stomach sticking out was my baby’s bum and every day that one side is higher than the other. It gave me a good laugh. Although it feels uncomfortable on my ribs, it’s still cute.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

We’ll be best friends sooner or later.

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

Since this will be the first time I’ll be on the receiving end on Mother’s Day, I’d probably want a day off to relax! So something like a spa day would be nice.

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

This winter in London I spent most of my time at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park — all I wanted to do was spend time in amusement parks eating popcorn and sipping on hot chocolate.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

It’s no secret really but the love you have for your child can’t compare to any other kind of love – I’d tell them how special they are to me.

Zarmina Faisal — Yoga Instructor

Name something you’d want to be gifted on your first Mother’s Day:

Since this is coming from my husband and not my child, an all-expenses paid trip to Bali, preferably to a yoga retreat!

A memory from your pregnancy you’d share with your child:

First time I heard the heartbeat, and the first time I felt kicks - I don’t think I could ever truly explain the feeling though.

A secret you’d share with your child only on Mother’s Day:

I wouldn’t want to keep any secrets from my child.
