Peshawar admin launches e-bidding system

A first ever e-bidding system was successfully launched by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday when the first e-tender was awarded via this system today at Peshawar Town-I office.
The provincial government aims to ensure transparency in the tendering process said a press release issued by the administration.
The contracts were awarded through online system to the lowest bidders automatically in front of all contractors or their nominees. A high-resolution screen was installed at Town-I office where all proceedings were broadcast to stakeholders, the press release said.
The e-bidding system, launched to bring transparency and fairness in the contract awarding process, has eliminated the system of the close ring of contractors who got all the works.
