Robbery bid: Trader kills dacoits in self-defence

The police said that the deceased were wanted by the police in 33 cases of murder, theft and other crimes.

HYDERABAD:
Two dacoits, identified as Ghulam Haider Nodhani and Javed, were killed when a trader, Saifur Rehman opened fire to stop them from robbing him late last night near Defence Plaza within the limits of the Cantonment police station.

Their accomplice and a passerby, Sikandar, were also injured in the firing.


The police said that the deceased were wanted by the police in 33 cases of murder, theft and other crimes.

They were taken to Civil hospital and a case, FIR No. 35/2011, was registered against them.
