Centre releases Rs3bn for schools
The public schools offer free education, textbooks, uniforms and school bags

The federal government is all set to release Rs3 billion for upgrading next 200 schools under Phase-II of education reforms programme, said the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Parliamentary Secretary Maiza Hameed. CADD has already spent around a billion rupees on the first phase for upgrading federal public schools under PM Education Reforms Programme, she said. According to Maiza, public education institutions of the federal capital were showing good results due to successful implementation of the reforms programme. The improved infrastructure and facilities were bringing children back to schools she noted. The public schools offer free education, textbooks and even uniforms and schoolbags.
