Action taken: Courts issue arrest warrants for 38 cops

Policemen were not complying with court orders.

SARGODHA: The district and additional session judges issued arrest warrants for 38 policemen for not complying with the court orders in Sargodha on Friday.

The arrest warrants were issued against Additional SHOs Sikandar Hayat, Jamshed Ali, Umar Hayat, Aftab Ahmad Khan, Nawaz, Iqbal, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Zille Hasnain, Imran Baig, Muhammad Nazir, Fayyaz Ahmad, Muhammad Javed and others. The judges directed the District Police Officer Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry to produce the accused policemen in the court on the next date of hearing.



Woman murdered

A woman was killed over domestic dispute in Bhalwal police limits. Police said accused Nazeer killed his daughter Isra Bibi with a sharp edged weapon over domestic dispute and fled. The police shifted the body to the hospital for legal formalities.

Two killed in road accidents

Two people were killed in road accidents in the limits of Bhagtanwala and Khushab police. Police said Abdul Razzaq and his two friends were riding a motorcycle when a speedy vehicle hit them. As a result, Abdul Razzaq was killed on the spot while three others were injured.



In another incident, Naseeruddin died while Kaleemullah and Ziaullah received injuries when a car collided with a coaster at MM Alam Road. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

24 outlaws nabbed

The police claimed to have arrested 24 outlaws and recovered narcotics from them. Police said during ongoing drive against drug pushers, the police raided different areas and arrested 24 criminals. The police also seized 1,210 grammes of hashish, 141 bottles of liquor and weapons from them.
