Exhibition: A sanctuary for the soul
Exhibition features 23 paintings, will continue until April 23.
ISLAMABAD:
Anjum Ayub has tried to create a sanctuary for the soul in his latest exhibition opening at Nomad Art Gallery on March 31. The exhibition, which features 23 paintings, will continue until April 12.
Ayub has employed mediums like sugar, router, mixed oil, etching, aquatint, mixed ink, sugar-lift, intaligo, dry paint, ink and brush, and mixed media.
“I paint what I see, but I use more than my eyes to see. [To me,] memories can be as vivid as objects,” the artist said, adding, “Ambiance can be as real as landscapes, moods can be colours, soul can have a face and experiences can be rooms that are personal on paper as well as in the mind.”
The award-winning painter has displayed his collections both home and abroad.
