Police should adopt professional approach: governor

He said public trust on police should be restored

MULTAN: Police officials should work hard with true professional approach to rid the society of crimes and should adapt to changing trends in tracking down criminals through modern technology intervention.

These views were expressed by Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafiq while addressing a ceremony at police headquarters in Multan on Tuesday.

He said public trust on police should be restored and it could be achieved by adopting pro-people approach.

The governor praised the role of army, police and other security organisations in curbing terrorism in the country. He said, “We are proud of them. Those who laid down their lives in protecting the country from internal and external threats are our heroes and their sacrifices would be remembered forever.”
