Two persons are believed to have drowned in the Indus River at Ghazi Ghat near here when a boat capsized after ramming into a power pylon built in the river.
A total of 11 people were aboard the boat when it sank. While nine of them were rescued, search to locate the remaining two was going on.
The family of Malik Javed, an instructor in the Vocational Institute and a resident of Bhutta Colony, was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony when they decided to have a pleasure ride in a boat.
