Unruly behaviour: Aggressive stare leads to scuffle in courtroom

Family of accused claims they were being implicated in forged case by their rivals merely to humiliate them.

LAHORE: A scuffle erupted between rival litigants at Model Town Court when two accused were brought before the judge in a theft case.

The family of the accused Adnan and Asim claimed they were not involved in any theft case and being implicated in forged case by their rivals merely to humiliate them. While the complainant claimed the suspects used to steal iron from his warehouse, complainant Muhammad Sadiq got an FIR registered against the accused. Family members of the accused claimed the FIR was registered merely to blackmail them.

The scuffle erupted when Jamshed, a relative of the accused, stared at the complainant. According to eyewitnesses the exchange of harsh words turned into a brawl. Timely intervention of the lawyers as well as other litigants pacified the two sides.
