At least 163 wanted criminals involved in various heinous crimes have been arrested over the past two months , SSP Sariab Division Naseebullah Khan said on Sunday.
According to him, police also obtained data of 5,000 families living in rented houses.
Speaking at a press conference here at the Sariat police station, he said that police have also seized a large quantity of hashish, adding that Sariab police carried out operations against criminal elements and arrested 88 persons accused in cases of attempted murders, absconders and other criminals wanted in other such cases in March.
“The number of such accused arrested in April is 75.”

He said that four of the arrested accused were wanted in cases of targeted killings.
He said that police conducted a raid on Saturday night in the Killi Geo area and seized huge quantity of hashish from a house and arrested a man identified as Abdul Baqi, adding that a stolen vehicle was also recovered in the raid.
He said that the registration of people living in rented houses was being carried out under the National Action Plan.
