Faisalabad gets 132kV steam-powered grid station
Minister says Fesco distribution system being upgraded to reduce power crisis
FAISALABAD:
While inaugurating a 132kV steam-powered grid station on Saturday, State Water and Power Minister Abid Sher Ali said load-shedding would be reduced after upgrading the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) system before Ramazan.
Electricity shortage: Efforts under way to end crisis, says Shehbaz
The minister said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was taking keen interest to provide maximum relief to people during Ramazan. In this regard, the Fesco distribution system was also being upgraded after which electricity issues would be solved, he added.
“The Fesco has completed a steam-powered grid station with an estimated cost of Rs662 million in a record period of six months,” he said. Abid also announced one month salary as bonus for the Fesco employees. “Other provinces are not paying electricity bills but now they will have to pay bills if they need electricity,” the minister remarked.
'8000MW electricity to be added to the national grid by next year'
He said the PML-N has accepted the Supreme Court's verdict regarding JIT in Panamagate case in letter and spirit. "Our opponents could neither prove anything wrong against us before the Supreme Court nor they would succeed before the JIT."
"PTI chief Imran Khan is in a habit of defaming others by leveling false allegations but now we will not allow him to escape," he said.
“The PML-N believes in serving the masses and people would also vote and support the party in the next general elections due to its people-friendly and development-oriented policies,” he added.
