Savings certificates: Rates to remain unchanged
Federal govt keeps rates of return on National Savings Schemes unchanged.
ISLAMABAD:
The federal government on Tuesday kept unchanged the rates of return on National Savings Schemes.
A press release issued by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) under the Ministry of Finance said that the existing rates of return are 13.55 per cent for defence savings certificates, 13.44 per cent for regular income certificates, 13.33 per cent for special savings certificates and accounts and nine per cent for savings account.
The rate of return on pensioner’s benefit account and Behbood savings certificates - the schemes exclusively meant for pensioners, widows and senior citizens, will continue to be 15.36 per cent.
