COAS resolved to cleanse country of rogue elements

Visits Gujranwala Garrison, lauds state of readiness, high morale of troops

Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday reiterated the resolve to cleanse the country of rogue elements.

“Our fight against terrorism is continuing, and with the support of our great nation, we shall cleanse our country of Fasaadis of all hue and colour, Insha’Allah,” he said during his visit to the Gujranwala Garrison.

The army chief was given detailed briefing on operational preparedness of the Gujranwala Corps, progress on Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad and the census.

He also addressed the officers at the garrison. Later, Gen Bajwa visited Pasrur Cantt.

While interacting with officers and men, the army chief appreciated the state of readiness and a high state of morale of troops.

Earlier on arrival at Gujranwala, the COAS was received by Lt-Gen Ikram ul Haque, Corps Commander, Gujranwala.
