Success in referendum: Shehbaz congratulates Erdogan

He said the people of Turkey had proved that the president lived in their hearts

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday to congratulate him on his success in a recent referendum.

The chief minister said the people of Turkey have once again reposed their confidence in his great leadership. “Under the dynamic leadership of Erdogan, Turkey has made rapid progress,” Shehbaz was quoted as saying in a statement.

He said the people of Turkey, by casting vote in favour of their popular leader, had proved that the president lived in their hearts.

“The way Recep Tayyip Erdogan has supported his people and served them, this referendum is a victory to this service,” he added.
