Your Stars Today

Aries | March 20 – April 18

As you may be aware, not only has the ideas planet Mercury been retrograde, or in reverse motion, for much of that period, it’s been in Aries. While Mercury resumes forward motion on 3 May, it remains in your sign until the 16th, giving you plenty of opportunity for questioning and review.

Taurus | April 19 – May 19

The odd thing about dealing with dramatic changes, such as those that were triggered by last Wednesday’s Taurus New Moon, is their potential isn’t always recognisable for what it is right away. Only now are you beginning to see the promise in ideas that seemed far out, if not just plain unrealistic.

Gemini | May 20 – June 20

Generally the best way to deal with those who’re critical by nature is to let them air their views but ignore what they say, thank them and then politely but firmly change the subject. Bizarrely, however, a number of their observations might be helpful, if not crucial. Certainly they’re worth listening to.

Cancer | June 21 – July 21

Obviously, the term ‘finalising arrangements’ is appealing. With so much in transition, however, even the simplest of plans are unlikely to proceed as they were first organised or as you intended. Knowing that, regard everything you do as a bit of an experiment, and when changes arise, you’ll be ready for them.

Leo | July 22 – August 21

It’s rare that any Leo is critical, and if so, the focus tends to be practical issues. Yet recently somebody was so irritating, you were stunned into silence. Now you’re upset, and that’s turned into an uncharacteristic variety of bitterness. Discuss this openly, and soon. And be frank. It will achieve wonders.

Virgo | August 22 – September 21

Making a plan in the midst of an unsettled period is, alone, an achievement. But also, it’s worth bearing in mind that with your ruler Mercury retrograde until this coming Wednesday, what seem solid facts could be unreliable. Knowing that, when you make plans, try to ensure they can be easily rethought.

Libra | September 22 – October 22

While you find it difficult to believe that certain individuals were unaware that big time changes were in the air, that’s genuinely the case. In fact, because it’s an unsettled period, everybody, including you, is juggling all sorts of changes, but especially in circumstances and, just as much, in your priorities.

Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

You rarely think about it, but you’ve a clever way of avoiding potentially unrewarding conflicts with others. You diplomatically sidestep the subject, saying as little as possible until the focus shifts to another matter. While, ordinarily, that works, this won’t pass. The sooner you discuss the issue in question, the better.

Sagittarius | November 22 – December 20

Certain of the signs tend to be critical of others and, equally, picky about how thing are done. While, mostly, you’re easygoing, in one or two matters you’re obsessed with both the timing and details of arrangements. This isn’t just unwise, judging by the current changeable state of things, it’s unrealistic.

Capricorn | December 21 – January 18

There’s a tendency to blame every problem you come across on the retrograde Mercury. While it’s true, mix-ups can be more frequent, they’ll often lead to amazing insights or unexpected but thrilling encounters. Knowing that, waste no time trying to keep plans as they are. Explore, and the more, the better.

Aquarius | January 19 – February 17

As an air sign, you’d rather define and deal with issues when they arise and are fresh in everybody’s mind. But some of what you’re facing goes back a long way, so far, in fact, that untangling the issues in question will take time and patience. Knowing that, there’s absolutely no rush.

Pisces | February 18 – March 19

You long ago learnt that one of the best ways to escape pointless debates or battles with others is to sidestep the issue entirely. While that’s worked in the past, do that now and it will be assumed you’re in agreement with existing plans, which is by no means the case.
