The Janaan actor later on confirmed in a comment that he was indeed talking about the epic war movie. Initially slated to release in December 2015, the film has been delayed time and again for a plethora of reasons.
Yalghaar: locked and loaded
Previously talking to The Express Tribune, the director, writer and cinematographer of the movie, Hassan Waqas Rana blamed the re-shoots for the delay of the movie.
Aiming for a movie laden with more visual effects, Rana filmed keeping that end result in mind before altering his approach later on. “I changed my mind because when I saw the rough cut, I wasn’t too pleased with it and so I thought of doing some re-shoots,” he explained.

While it may have taken time to convince the cast and crew to rejoin the sets, it eventually contributed to the postponement. “I am working with an ensemble cast and getting them back together once they finished their scenes was very difficult. Most of them had moved on to other projects so lining up their schedules was an issue.”
The cast also includes veteran actor Ayub Khosa, Sana Bucha, Armeena Khan, Ayesha Omer and Sikander Rizvi. If Yalghaar’s release doesn’t see any more stumbling blocks than there is a possibility that no other Pakistani or Indian releases on Eid-ul-Fitr keeping its box office appeal in mind.
