Police on Sunday booked a Norwegian-Pakistani woman and her mother for allegedly obstructing a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official from performing her duties at Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).
The FIR came a day after the woman and her mother were allegedly beaten up by female immigration staff at the airport on Saturday.

FIA Inspector Nadeem lodged a complaint with Airport police alleging that Fouzia Umer and her mother Haseena had scuffled with FIA lady constables at the immigration counter. Nadeem alleged that the women had asked the FIA officials for some tissue papers. But when the FIA officials said they could not provide the paper, the women allegedly scuffled with a lady constable and slapped her.
SI Liaquat of Airport Police said that the police had booked Fouzia and her mother on charges of obstructing an immigration official from her work and scuffling with FIA officials.
On the other hand, Haseena and her husband Khalid Umer had told Express Tribune that three FIA lady constables had allegedly thrashed Fouzia.

The constables, they claimed, had taken away passports of Fauzia, Haseena, and another daughter Fatima. She said that a lady constable also tore their boarding passes.
According to Haseena, after Fouzia asked for the tissues, the FIA lady constable was offended and scolded her for asking her for toilet papers. An exchange of harsh words quickly escalated into a physical clash.
