MUZAFFARABAD: Three terrorists working for the Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), were arrested on Friday by Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police (AJKP).

The group’s target were Chinese engineers, sensitive installations and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Addressing a press conference, Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) of Rawalakot Chaudhry Sajjad said that the three terrorists were RAW operatives.

“The same group was behind the attack on the Abbaspur police station in 2016. The police station was damaged by an improvised explosive device (IED). The Indian spy agency had assigned them new targets such as the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalakot, CPEC projects, Chinese engineers and sensitive installations in Azad Kashmir,” DIG Sajjad said.

Indian Army’s Major Ranjeet , Major Sultan and Sobaydar Sundeep were assigning them targets for subversive activities. These officers were in constant touch with the terrorists.

“Not only in Azad Kashmir but the members of the group were also given targets in Pakistan. The group also smuggled wine from Indian Occupied Kashmir into AJK. The Indian intelligence agency was providing them huge amounts of funds to carry out subversive activities,” DIG Sajjad said.

He said the mastermind, Khalil, was arrested in Dhirkot who provided information about his two other collaborators. Police, he said, had also seized pictures of sensitive installations from their possession.
