MULTAN: Two infants were severely injured by wild cats roaming in District Headquarters Hospital Muzaffargarh on Thursday night. Sadia, a 10-month-old, was attacked by wild cats.

Furious cats chewed three fingers of the little girl. Another child Hussnain, 1, who was under treatment at the hospital’s children ward, was also attacked by a wild cat on his right arm.

Saeed Bibi, mother of the infant girl, said many wild cats were roaming freely in children’s ward of the District Headquarters Hospital, Bhakkar. Muhammad Amin, the father of a child admitted in children’s ward, said the hospital administration put the blame on parents for not taking care of their children. Muzaffargarh Deputy Commissioner Saif Anwar has taken notice of the issue.

Medical Superintendent Dr Younas has also formulated an inquiry committee under the supervision of Dr Shafeeq.
