
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force was tipped off that some miscreants were planning to sabotage the peace of the city and had dumped arms and ammunition in Napier area of the city. Rangers troops raided a shop on Nishtar Road and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, the spokesperson said.
The weapons belonged to workers of MQM-London who wanted to disturb the law and order situation in the city, said the paramilitary spokesperson.

Four 7mm rifles, two .222 rifles, six sub-machineguns with 23 magazines, seven rifles, six revolvers and 2,216 rounds were among the recovered arms and ammunitions, the spokesperson confirmed.
Lauding the efforts of law enforcement agencies, he said many terrorist gangs have been busted during the ongoing operation in Karachi.
