CDA warns against illegal constructions
Says it was taking steps to restore the sanctity of the master plan and ensure implementation of building by-laws
ISLAMABAD:
Following recent complaints about illegal construction in the city, the CDA on Tuesday assured that it was taking steps to restore the sanctity of the master plan and ensure implementation of building by-laws. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz said that Islamabad’s beauty and grace had been compromised by previous administrations and that the incumbent administration of the civic body was intent on not repeating past mistakes. Aziz said that they were taking concrete steps to regulate, control, and curtail unplanned construction in the outskirts and suburbs of the capital. Strict implementation and enforcement of CDA Ordinance 1960 was being ensured so that the natural grace of the capital could be maintained, he added.
