Pakistan, Kosovo agree to strengthen bilateral ties
Inaugural session of political consultations between the two countries take place in Pristina

The inaugural session of Pakistan-Kosovo Bilateral Political Consultations was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo in Pristina on April 6-7.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Monday, Additional Secretary (Europe) Ambassador Zaheer A Janjua led the Pakistan delegation. The delegation of Kosovo was led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s Deputy Director General Muhamet Brajshori.
The deliberations covered the entire spectrum of Kosovo-Pakistan bilateral relations.
Pak-Afghan group calls for closer bilateral ties
The leaders agreed that holding the first round of consultations between Pakistan and Kosovo was an important milestone that would help strengthen cooperation in various areas, including political, economic, commercial, cultural, and educational collaboration between the two countries.
The two sides also agreed to increase the frequency of high-level contacts; promote parliamentary interactions through establishment of parliamentary committees and friendship groups and increase business community interactions to enhance awareness about trade and investment opportunities in the two countries.
They also decided to establish links between the respective higher education institutions and think-tanks. Views were also exchanged on the issues of regional and international importance.

Janjua also called on Kosovo’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Enver Hoxhaj and conveyed the warm sentiments of the government and the people of Pakistan. Hoxhaj thanked Pakistan for its consistent support to Kosovo and expressed the desire to further strengthen bilateral relations.
