ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have launched a series of special training sessions for officers and personnel performing duties at check points of the capital.

The police personnel would be delivered comprehensive lectures regarding dealing with citizens respectfully, ensuring discipline, laws regarding antiterrorism and narcotics and exactly when to use weapons.

The objective of the training was to sensitize the police force on serving the citizens in a professional manner, said SSP-Operations Sajid Kiyani.

During the first lecture, senior officials of the legal branch of the police department briefed the policemen. Police Training School Principal Bakhtiar Ahmed Lilah moderated the session.

The lectures and workshops would improve the professional capacity of the police personnel and help them deal with citizens courteously while fulfilling their duties at check points.
