MULTAN:
The district government has finalised a tight security plan for conducting census in Multan after the attack on the census team in Lahore in which seven people, including four soldiers lost their lives. The population count in the district will begin on April 25 and end on May 24. Multan Deputy Commissioner Nadir Chattha said more than 2,000 security personnel would perform duties during the census exercise. He added 31 sectors had been formulated in Multan for security duty. The deputy commissioner added the police, elite force and quick response force will be deployed for the protection of census teams.
