WINDSOR: This is with reference to a report in a your newspaper dated May 8 according to which Pervez Musharraf has set up a political party and is planning to contest the next election. I think it is very naive of the general to even contemplate coming into politics because candidates win not because they have the best manifestoes and ideas but because of biradari, caste and ethnicity. If Musharraf comes into politics he will be another Imran Khan or Asghar Khan — who could not win even their own seats (though Imran Khan did manage once).
