Test captain to hang up boots after Caribbean tour, announces PCB chairman

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan on Wednesday said that the West Indies series will be Pakistan captain Misbahul Haq's final Test series, according to Express News.

Comments came during an informal talk with the media where Shaharyar said that the understanding is that Misbah will retire after the upcoming Test series in the Caribbean.

The 42-year-old faced criticism from former players after Pakistan lost six consecutive Test matches against West Indies, New Zealand and Australia.

Following the backlash, the 42-year-old said during the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) while representing Islamabad United, that he will decide his future after the tournament.
