As fashion week rolled from style capitals New York to London and Milan to Paris to other cities around the world such as Mumbai, Istanbul, Sydney and Toronto in the last two months, it's been amazing to see #TiedTogether gather momentum along the way. The global fashion industry has demonstrated its support for human unity and inclusiveness amidst growing uncertainty and a dangerous narrative peddling division, reported Business of Fashion (BoF).

“Thousands of BoF community members around the globe participated in the movement, and we are pleased to announce that we achieved our goal of raising more than $50,000 for the American Civil Liberties Union and UN Refugee Agency, with the support of our donors and benefactors — including Carmen Busquets, Miroslava Duma, Gabriela Hearst and José Neves, as well as many more generous people and organisations around the world,” read a statement on the BoF website.

“Our work, however, is not done. During a time of turmoil and fear in many nations around the world, the #TiedTogether movement continues wherever the global fashion community has a public platform to share its support, whether it be local fashion weeks around the world or on your own social media account. What actions are you going to take?” the statement added.
