Two security personnel were critically injured when a roadside bomb went off in North Waziristan on Sunday, a political officer of the political administration told The Express Tribune.
According to a senior official, a military caravan was traveling to the Shawal area when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded near their van in the Kand Ghar.
The official said the device went off when the van ran over the planted IED, leaving two soldiers injured.
The injured were shifted to Peshawar for treatment, while a search operation has been launched in the area to apprehend the culprits who planted the IED.

Earlier on March 26, security forces, in an intelligence-based operation, raided a house in Karram village, Mizar Valley and recovered a huge cache of arms underground.
They recovered rockets of various types, seven rocket-propelled grenades launchers, and anti-tank bullets. The security source, however, declined to say if anyone was arrested during the raid.
