Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has ordered Islamabad Police to take immediate action against unregistered vehicles being driven in the capital.
Driving unregistered vehicles was not only illegal, but also a security risk, Nisar said according to interior ministry spokesperson.
Taking notice of vehicles being driven with ‘applied-for’ and other suspicious number plates, the interior minister has directed the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to give 15-day time to owners of such vehicles to get proper registration number plates.
The interior ministry has directed the authorities to take action against violators after expiry of the 15-day deadline.
