LAHORE: City Division Investigations Police claimed to have solved three murders and an attempted murder.

This was stated by SP Qarar Hussain during a press conference held at his office on Saturday.

Labourer Inayat was stabbed to death by two suspects in Mozang on September 16, 2016.

The investigation officer declared the case untraced in December 2013 and handed the matter over to the Old Anarkali Homicide Unit, said Qarar. He added the unit arrested a suspect named Abdul Majeed.

The SP added he and his accomplices killed Inayat over a monetary dispute worth Rs1,600. The police were looking for the other suspects.

Similarly, armed men shot a teenage boy named Khadim Maseeh dead on August 30, 2016 in Shahdara Town.

A case was registered against unidentified suspects.

After nine months, the Shahdara Town Homicide Unit arrested Ashraf Maseeh for his involvement in the case.
