ISLAMABAD: A 21-year-old man, who worked as a servant in a house in Sector I-8/2, allegedly committed suicide on Friday. Police said the deceased, who was identified as Zaman, hanged himself from a window in the house he worked in.

Police, quoting the employers and friends of the deceased, said he seemed to be distressed due to some family problems which could be the reason behind his suicide.

Police also recovered a body near Sabzi Mandi on Friday. Police said the deceased, 50, was a drug addict and had not been identified. The unidentified body has been shifted to the morgue, while police were searching for the heirs.

Meanwhile, police and Rangers conducted a search operation in the jurisdiction Tarnol police station and nabbed 16 suspects besides recovering weapons from them, a police spokesman said. SHO Inspector Sajjad Bukhari was present on the ground with women police commandos and staff of Bomb Disposal Squad in the door-to-door search.
