Army chief says army to continue contributing towards national security

Reiterating Pakistan Army’s vision for better Pakistan, army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Thursday that the armed forced shall continue to contribute towards national security.

During his visit to the Baloch Regimental Center (BRC) in Abbotabad, Gen Qamar reiterated his vision for better Pakistan where nothing takes precedence over country.

“The country comes first not any individual or institution,” the army chief said.

The COAS laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to the martyrs of Baloch Regiment who laid their lives for the defence of the motherland.

He expressed pleasure and honoured to be at home of Baloch.

Gen Qamar said he had a very special attachment with the Baloch Regiment, being second generation officer as his father was also an officer of the Baloch Regiment.

The COAS interacted with officers and recruits including from FC K-P undergoing training at the centre.

Earlier, on arrival at the BRC, the COAS was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza. Commandant Pakistan Military Academy Major General Abdullah Dogar was also present.
